PIER Submission Deadline Fast Approaching

Review and certification of the annual Physical Inventory and Equipment Review (PIER) report fulfills the federal and state requirements for the verification of assets.
 

• PIER submissions are due for all College/VP Areas by September 30, 2019 – only 5 business days left.
• Delinquent submissions by areas will be added to the Asset Management list of high-risk areas and reported to the Office of Business and Finance.
• Submissions:
  • UNIV PIER reports to assetmanagement@osu.edu.
  • OSP PIER reports to siegel.94@osu.edu.

A Message from the Workday Project: Asset Conversion Preparations

In preparation for the Workday conversion, Colleges/VP Areas need to account for assets that should be tracked. In order to ensure all necessary information about those assets is transferred into Workday in 2020, efforts need to be made to capture asset details in the current system or through the Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB).

A Functional Analyst with the Enterprise Project will be reaching out to schedule reviews with College/VP Areas to coordinate these efforts and guide Asset Coordinators through the transition requirements. If your area has not been contacted by the Enterprise Project for asset conversion preparation, contact Sandy Otis (otis.12@osu.edu).

Managing Your Department's Capitalized Equipment

This four-hour workshop explains the policies and procedures that must be followed when tracking a department’s capitalized assets. This session is targeted to Asset Coordinators, Asset Custodians, and Department Business Officers. Register on BuckeyeLearn.
