Sales Tax Exemption Reminder |
The university does not pay sales/use tax in the State of Ohio and in certain other states. PCard managers, PCardholders, and PCard users are responsible for ensuring that tax is not charged on purchases in tax exempt states and the State of Ohio. When tax is charged, policy requires that a reasonable effort is made to recover sales tax. For a full list of state tax exemption statuses, visit the Tax Compliance website. Though not required, an Sales and Use Tax Blanket Exemption Certificate may be requested. If a supplier asks for a tax-exempt number, Ohio State’s employer identification number 31-6025986 can be provided. For questions, please contact salestax@osu.edu or (614) 292-0355. |
Managing your PCard Statement |
As the PCardholder/PCard manager, you are responsible for reviewing the statement to ensure transaction accuracy. Transaction information should match what is recorded on the PCard Tracking Log (for Department/Service Center cards) and be supported by an eRequest or Travel Request. Fraudulent transactions must be reported to the bank within 60 days of the statement date via the Dispute Form (visit the PCard website for more detailed information). PCard statements are issued at the close of every month’s cycle and are sent to the address on file with the bank for each PCard account. A statement will not be delivered if there were no transactions posted to the PCard during the cycle. If you misplace or do not receive your statement, check that your address is accurate with the bank. Address updates can be submitted via the PCard Maintenance Form. You can request a new copy from the bank, using your 4-digit activation code, or contact the PCard Office, providing the last 4 digits of the PCard. For any questions, contact the PCard Office. |
Contacting the Bank |
Though the PCard Office can assist you, as a PCard manager/PCardholder, you are authorized to contact the bank regarding your PCard(s). The 4-digit activation/security code, provided on your PCard application at submission, grants you access to do the following:
Please note: For security purposes, the bank may prompt with a series of authorization checkpoints before you can be provided access to the account for the items noted above. Generally, you will be asked to provide the card name, card number, and your 4-digit activation/security code. In the event the bank representative indicates you are not authorized, please direct them to the address line or email address where your name is listed in their system. For any questions, contact the PCard Office. |
